The Extended Diploma aims to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills essential to the health and social care sector, and to support progression into Higher Education or the workplace.
What will I learn?
This course is the natural progression from the CACHE Certificate in Health & Social Care at Level 3, and will prepare you either to enter the workplace or move on to university.
You will study a range of important units which build your knowledge, confidence and opportunities for that future valuable career. This programme also aims to improve your research and study skills in preparation for university, including:
– Vocational Experience;
– Anatomy and Physiology;
– Research skills for health and social care
– Personal and Professional Development
Learners will be required to attend placement in a real work environment to support their learning. The minimum required number of placement hours in 175 hours (100 hours if learners have already successfully completed the Certificate).
To progress to university you will have to aim to achieve a minimum of a grade C for the units studied. The higher the grade achieved the more UCAS points awarded. Once achieved you may consider progressing to university for nursing, social work or employment.
PAYMENT PLAN
Fees for this course are payable over a period of one year. You are required to pay half of the fees as down payment, while the balance is payable in installments, details of which are to be provided upon completion of your order. These payments can be made by check or direct bank transfer as provided on checkout.
