What will I learn?
As well as providing you with an understanding of basic counseling skills, this short introductory course will help to develop your practical listening and helping skills, which are so useful in your everyday life and workplace.
You will study the variety of counseling skills and the basic concepts of counseling.
It should also help you to decide whether a career in counseling might be for you, and the type training that you could take in the future.
You must be age 19 or over to take this course.
What qualifications do I need to qualify for this course?
There are no formal entry requirements, although there is an interview and selection process for entry onto the course and you must have good literacy skills.
What can I do after this course?
If you have found this course useful and interesting you may wish to move on to the next level which is the Certificate in Counseling Skills (Level 2) which is also offered at Waltham Training and Recruitment Consultants.
